Terms of Service

Last updated 31 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Vaznor for using the chat service at vaznor.com ("Vaznor", "we"). Vaznor is run from Ireland by the operator named in our legal notice. By making an account you agree to these terms, the Community Guidelines and the Privacy Policy.

1. Who can use Vaznor

You must be at least 13, or older if the law where you live requires it. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian should agree to these terms with you. You can't use Vaznor if we've banned you before, or if the law forbids it.

2. Your account

  • Give a real email address you can read, and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • One person, one account. Don't sell, share or transfer accounts.
  • Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else got into your account.

3. Your content

What you post (messages, files, images, your profile) stays yours. So that Vaznor can work, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process and show your content to the people you share it with, for as long as it's on Vaznor. You confirm you have the rights to everything you upload.

Server owners and moderators can delete messages in their servers. People in a conversation can see and keep what you send them; deleting a message removes it from Vaznor, not from someone's screenshot.

4. Rules

Follow the Community Guidelines. In short: nothing illegal, no harassment, hate, threats, spam or scams, no sexual content involving minors ever, no sharing other people's private information, and no attacking or overloading the service, scraping it, or automating accounts without our permission.

5. Moderation

Anyone can report a message from its menu, and you can email [email protected] about illegal content. We review reports and may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts and servers that break these terms or the law. Where we act against your account we'll tell you what we did and why, unless the law or someone's safety stops us, and you can ask us to look at it again by replying to that message or emailing us. We report child sexual abuse material and credible threats to life to the authorities.

6. Server owners

If you run a server you set its rules and moderate it, within these terms. You're responsible for what you allow there. Making a server public in Explore means anyone on Vaznor can find and join it.

7. The service

Vaznor is free. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we provide it "as is": features can change, and there will sometimes be downtime. Voice and video connect people directly to each other, so other people in a call can see your network address, as with any peer-to-peer call.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, for content other people post, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control.

9. Leaving

You can delete your account at any time under User Settings → My Account. We can close accounts that break these terms. Some things survive closure: the licence for content still visible in other people's conversations as from a "Deleted User", and sections 8 and 10.

10. Changes and law

We'll post changes to these terms here and, for important ones, tell you in the app before they apply. Irish law governs these terms, and the Irish courts can hear disputes, without taking away your right to bring a claim where you live in the EU.

Questions, complaints and legal notices: [email protected]. This is also our single point of contact for authorities and users under the EU Digital Services Act; we answer in English.
